Andrews Burger

image.jpg

Andrews burger has a rep as one of melbournes best burger stores, walking in I was saprused it's a lots smaller then I was thinking it'll be, there's only a small bench to sit at inside with seating outside, I got there just at about lunch time and they were busy. I ordered the Five-O, a hawser style burger.

Burger

.8/2, Not what I was expecting, you can get a burger like this from any fish and chip store, it was nice but it kind of the standard burger you can get in every suburban corner

Chips

.8/2, Again standard fish and chips, chips.

Beverages

1/2, There was a small rang of drink, more then just soft drinks which was good.

Service

1.1/2, The service was good, I didn't have to wait to long for my order and they have a person that greats you when you walk in.

Atmosphere

1.5/2, I kind of liked the atmosphere, it has that family owned business that makes you feel like your at home.

Royal Brothers

This place is a hole in a wall, like really it is just a hole in the back of a restaurantbut dame it was busy, people lining up, their coming and going and as soon as one leave the next one shows up.

Burger
1.5/2 I got a Royal with bacon, it was almost the perfect size but nice and thick, it was a really good burger, a lot better then I was expecting it to be.

Chips
1.4/2 The chips could of been bigger but something about them that made them tasty.

Beverages
1.0/2 Cookies and cream thick shake, it was way to small, it was nice but just too small.

Service
1.4/2 Good service, everyone looked happy no stuff ups.

Atmosphere
1.2 This isn’t really a place you can go in to and sit down to eat, everything is outside so on a cold day bring your jacket but for summer it’s a cool place to go and eat a burger in the sun.

Take Away Tack Shop

I’ve been looking forward to trying out the burgers at Tuck Shop take away, it’s always busy, when I walked in it was smaller then it looks from the outside, it can fit about 15 people.
I’ll come back but I would go out of my way for it.

Burger
1.2/2, I got the Minor burger with egg and bacon, the burger wasn’t as big as I thought it would be but it was nice.

Chips
.8/2, The burger came with a side of chips but you can also get a bag, the chips looked a bit dry and the amount was a bit small seeing I paid over $20 for a mail.

Beverages
.8/2, I got a Nutella milkshake, it was a bit small for a milkshake and had to sip slow not to drink it before my burger came out, for $5 I think it’s a bit to small

Service
1.1/2, When I walked in everyone was busy but they made sure to acknowledge me and the they’ll won’t be to long.

Atmosphere
1/2, The store had bit of a rustic look, guys with beards (I’m a bit over that look) but they seem like nice people, it was a hot day so I can see why people wouldn’t be so lively.

Grill'd

Once again every person that works here has a bread, what is wrong with you people? The food came out on a plate to small and I meant a small plate, it would of been better if it was in a take away bag.

Burger
1.0 My first reaction was that it looked like the size of the burgers here have shrunk in size, I remember them being big burgers. The burger tasted good but the bun was to small and three bites in to it everything started falling out and missing that tiny little plate.

Chips
1.0 Good chips but I expected a bit more then a small cup when I pay $23 for a meal. The only thing that saved it was the dipping source.

Beverages
1.0 Just the standard drinks, you think a place that try’s to act cool would have milk shakes.

Service
1.2 The guy that took my order was so dry and boring but it was 7pm and he could of had a long day so I’ll look past it but what did save them from scoring .4 was that two people checked on me to see how everything’s going.

Atmosphere
1.0 It was a slow Tuesday so I couldn’t really expect to much, the lay out of the store with the brick walls reminded me of a renovation TV show, that doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing.

Over all it wasn’t that bad, the burger was good, good chips but it dose look like the corporate people are dictating Grill’d and it shows that their trying a bit to hard to be cool, it reminds me of McDonald’s with the headband.

Huxtaburger

As I walked in a saw a hipster with his perfect beard, styled hair and black rim glasses in matching denim, yep it’s that type of place. Everyone that works here looks like their to cool for school, at least they think they are.

Burger
1.4/2, I got the Theo, it was a bit small as you can see by the photo but it was a taste burger, double beef patty with bacon and BBQ source

Chips
.8/2, I like that they had crinkle cut chips but not that the large is the size of a small

Beverages
.5/2, I went for the free refills because a milkshake costs $8, so I ended up with an endless cup of flat coke.

Service
1/2, it wasn’t good or bad but the guy was cool with a family that came in that was having issues with the menu.

Atmosphere
1.1/2, The layout is kind of like an old school dinner, when you block out the people that work there it’s not to bad.

Big Boy BBQ

I went to review Big Boy BBQ, I’ve been there a few time so I knew what to expect so I tried a burger I haven’t had before, the Zee Man burger. Overall a good place to get a burger.

Burger
1.3/2, I got the Zee Man burger, it had onion rings with beef and BBQ source that gave it a nice mild hint of spice, the burger is a good size with lots of filling.

Chips
1.3/2, nice chips, good seasoning.

Beverages
1/2, soft drinks, alcohol but no milkshakes. I would of liked a 600ml bottle of Coke over the 300ml can of Coke for the price I paid for the meal.

Service
1.4/2, good service, I was greater when I walked in and they made sure I was happy and had what I want.

Atmosphere
1/2, Cool american bbq style look, more of a modern look then an outback old school.
